Racing Club 2-3 Boca Juniors: result and AI prediction

AI match recap

This quarter-final brings two in-form sides to a neutral ground, but Boca arrive with the more settled defensive platform. Racing have regained momentum after their latest domestic win, yet Vojvoda’s unresolved right-sided selection affects both their attacking width and their protection against transitions. Boca’s goalkeeper change is the clearest disruption to their preferred XI, although Brey will be screened by an organised back line and an aggressive central midfield. Expect a tense cup match in which the first team to win the midfield turnovers gains the clearest route to the semi-finals.

Head-to-head analysis

The recent series has been notably tight: Boca have not beaten Racing across the last six meetings, with draws a recurring outcome. Racing have also shown they can keep Boca at arm’s length, including clean-sheet wins during that stretch.

Injuries and absences

Boca’s confirmed practical absence is Montero on international duty, placing Brey in goal for a high-stakes tie. Racing’s shortage of natural right-sided defenders has directly affected their shape and leaves that flank vulnerable if Boca isolate it in transition.
